Our mission is simple: to give you the space to relax and soak up the sunshine, the stunning beaches, and the charm of Crete—all while feeling completely at home.
When you plan a holiday, you want to leave behind the noise, the endless notifications, and the chaos of everyday life. But how can you truly unwind if you’re crammed into a tiny 20 m² room? Your home isn’t 20 m², so why should your vacation space be?
That’s why I created Harmonia Stay—to give you a cozy, welcoming place where you can truly stretch out, relax, and recharge.
Who Am I?
Hi there! I’m Spyros, your host here at Harmonia Stay in Chania, Crete. I know firsthand how important it is to escape the craziness of daily life and find time to breathe. That’s exactly why I designed Harmonia Stay—a place where you can feel safe, comfortable, and totally free to explore everything this beautiful island has to offer.
I’m always around if you need anything during your stay, e.g tips on where the locals go to hang out.
Let me tell you a little about how Harmonia Stay came to life…
My Journey to Harmonia Stay
Growing up, things weren’t always easy. Until I turned 18, I had just €5 a week for all my expenses. I couldn’t afford small things like a drink for someone I liked or even a taxi ride. I knew I wanted more from life and started looking for ways to make that happen.
My first step was investing small amounts of money in the stock market. Around this time, I met someone who became my mentor. He offered a course on building a successful business, and I knew it was exactly what I needed. The catch? It cost €7,000—way more than I could afford at the time.
So, I got to work. I took on any job I could find, saving every euro I earned until I finally had enough to take the course. That’s where I learned about starting a business and the capital I’d need to make it happen.
Even after all that, I only managed to save half the money I needed. At 19, I decided to ask my father for help. He didn’t believe in my idea at first, but eventually, he let me sublet one of his apartments in Chania.
I designed the renovations myself and spent four months transforming that apartment into a cozy space for guests. It wasn’t easy—I repaid the construction costs over two years—but it was the start of something incredible.
Today, Harmonia Stay has grown to four beautiful apartments in Chania, and I couldn’t be prouder to host people from all over the world.
